Advent 1

11/27/2017

Blessed be the Holy Trinity,
Our most Holy God
Who will send the Son to come in the clouds
Through the power of the spirit who will keep us awake
That we might prepare for the arrival of God in the flesh
God with us
Emmanuel

Amen

God of Night and Day,

You blessed us with night and day; time to sleep and time to wake. Give us the strength to not tire as we long for your arrival. Endow us with vigilance to focus on the coming of day instead of the shadows of night. Wake us from our slumber and keep us alert despite the struggle. Your dawn breaks through the night - that is enough to keep us alert! Guide our hands and feet as we prepare for your incarnation. In the name of your son, Jesus Christ, we pray,
Amen.
